I am experiencing leg numbness, fainting, loss of consciousness , random episodes of first stage sleep spells and temporary paralysis anxiety itching of my hands legs and ankles. i have been diagnosed with idiopathic spells not sure if its epilepsy?

Please let your: neurologist know. This is not normal. Since there are different types of seizures - it would take formal assessment to answer this question.

Be evaluated: Any loss of consciousness should be evaluated with a battery of tests to assess for potential causes, from cardiac to neurologic. For the former, it may take ambulatory Holter monitoring ; for the latter, an epilepsy monitoring unit evaluation.
