See neurologist now: There are many possible explanations for pain and numbness: listen to your body's message. Extrinsic causes, such as certain activities, would usually not cause both L hand & leg numbness & L hand pain. Intrinsic causes, i.e. health problems, might include any number of neurological, even vascular, problems. Hand Pain that moves around suggests irritation to branches of many major nerves. See m.d
