Tonsillectomy: It is probably a small blood clot. It should resolve. You may see your doctor as well for peace of mind.

Tonsillectomy: http://www.healthline.com/health/tonsillectomy#recovery-and-outlook5 What type of procedure scalpel or laser? With laser you have a white scab, Black may be from dried blood ( as is any scab) but would call ENT to discuss today. Pain is not uncommon in adults for 2 weeks . Fever throat swelling, bleeding , difficulty breathing are emergent issues . But would f/u and call surgeon today
