Many people: are sensitive to smoke. What to do? Ask people not to smoke around you. As someone else who also has this allergy - my personal opinion is that we should be able to tell other's not to smoke in the air space we are in.

Avoid them.: I know it's just common sense, but the best thing to do is try to avoid cigarette smoke as much as you can. I would not necessarily try to start a medicine to help avoid the reaction, since any medication can have side effects, unless you had to be around cigarettes regularly. Good luck.
