A member asked:

Sometimes, when i'm sick or have allergies my body tries to sneeze but can't. question: can you actually get injured or die from holding in a sneeze?

No: You will not get injured or die from holding in a sneeze. The function of sneezing is to expel mucus containing infectious agents (virus, bacteria, etc.), foreign particles or irritants and cleanse the nasal cavity. By not expelling mucus, you may be more likely to develop airway infection or allergic response such as asthma if you are susceptible.
