I've been dealing with bv for almost 2 years and it seems like nothing will get rid of it. it's actually depressing at this stage. what should i do?

Persistent BV...: ...or recurrence is quite common, very frustrating. Consistent condom use (or no sex) for a few weeks may help. BV is not necessarily an STD, but sex contributes. (If female partner(s), she/they need Rx.) Preventive treatment with vaginal metronidazole (MetroGel) or boric acid vaginal capsules often can help. If your doc is unfamiliar with these, find a gyn with interest in infectious diseases.
