See below: Bv is a synergistic infection involving gardnerella and a number of other bacteria. It is treated with Metronidazole oral or intravaginal treatment. Tinidazole and Clindamycin are alternatives. Oral and intravaginal probiotics containing lactobacilli can help. Recurrent disease is related to colonization of your sex partner, inconsistant condom use and is halved with estrogen contraceptives.

Several approaches: Bv can be caused by several things. Try this under the guidance of a physician. Be abstinent. Limit the number of sex partners after treatment. Do not douche. Use all of the medicine prescribed for treatment of bv, even if the signs and symptoms go away. It seems you have tried the metronidazole. Perhaps have your physician switch to Clindamycin and give that a try. Eat as healthy as possible.
