This is terminology: used to describe an image from an MRI scan. A T2 weighted image is one acquired using longer repetition and echo times based on desired properties of protons within certain tissues. Hyperintensity suggests vascularity (prominent blood vessels) or edema and may suggest a benign hemangioma, a common benign lesion.
