Can adderall really cause sudden death as some studies suggest? if so, how likely is this to happen in a healthy individual taking it as prescribed?

No cause shown: In the U.S. between 1999 & 2003 12 children taking adderall had sudden cardiac deaths. 5 had pre-existing heart defects & the other 7 had unusual situations which may have contributed to their deaths (such as exercising in 110 degree weather). No causative effect was shown. During that same time period > 37 million Adderall prescriptions were written.
