Chlorhexidine: Yes, one of the drawbacks of using Chlorhexidine Gluconate is staining which can be objectionable. Don't be afraid to ask. Your dentist should be more than happy to hear your criticism and offer solutions or modifications. I know I would. Not all dentists advise the use of Chlorhexidine Gluconate so it's a reasonable request for an alternative.
