Both: Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) typically for 7- 10 days to decrease bacterial count . Too long and you invite fungal infection. Warm salt water is always good. Keeping the area clean is most important. Much depends on if there is a temporary restoration on the implant, or a healing abutment or cover screw. Good luck.

Either: You could use either....I prefer the peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) but if you don't have that you could use a warm salt rinse or a warm saline rinse

Use both: Keeping your mouth clean after surgery is essential to reduce the risk of infection. Start salt water and Peridex (chlorhexidine gluconate) rinses as directed the day following your implant surgery.
