Hypoxia: This is a quite low reading, especailly assuming you are not high in the mountains somewhere. The nurse tried different fingers to make sure it wasn't due to a localized blood circulation problem. Presumably you're in the hosptial, right? Your doctor(s) will be able to give you all the information you need. Good luck!

Would you have symptoms if your blood oxygen level truly jumped around from 97 to 84 in a minute and then back up? What causes that? Its happened several times with a finger pulse oximeter. Is that probably an error? 30 year old. 3 weeks postpartum.
