Yes: When teeth break off it is usually due to trauma or neglect. In the case of neglect, massive decay weakens teeth. Eventually this results in pulp exposure, infection, and abscessing. Infection can spread if neglect continues. And yes, she should be concerned. You should have seen a dentist long ago, however it is imperative you see one now!

Broken teeth: Cheetah i always worry with broken teeth as they can become a source of infection. Without the benefit of seeing her in her condition and a dental x-ray there is not much i can say here. My best advice would be to go to a dentist and have this evaluated as soon as she can. Best of luck.

Yup: Broken teeth lead to bony infections. Infections can lead to other problems, including hospitalization. Why is she waiting? At a minimum have them extracted to prevent other problems.

Yes: Best not to wait as it will only cause additional problems, pain, swelling, infections, expense. Get whatever needs to be done - done! waiting and wishing it will go away - won't happen! dentistry is quite painless despite the fears most of us have today. Its waiting for the situation to flare up and then going in to see in the dentist in extreme pain -- that's a lose-lose situation. Hope thi.
