Relaxation training: There are several methods of treating anxiety without drugs. The most prominent is relaxation training wherein you take slow deep inhalations followed by slow exhalations. During the exhalation you say the word 'relax' and imagine a restful scene in you mind. You practice this at least 10-15 times per day and eventually when anxious, you can say the word 'relax' and relieve the anxiety.

See below: Talk to your physician to see if there is a physical basis for anxiety, work on finding out what makes you anxious. Try to establish daily routine to bring some predictability in your day; practice deep breathing, relaxation/ guided imagery (you can find scripts on the web); you can work with a therapist to help you guide through the process. Consider medication, if symptoms become overwhelming.

Find a psychologist: Who treats anxiety. The most effective treatment for anxiety is relaxation training coupled with cognitive therapy that helps you modify the thoughts, perceptions and beliefs that trigger the anxiety. Learning to calm your body and your mind is the key. You can learn these skills on your own, but having someone "coach" you is quicker and more effective, the same as with learning any skill.
