Yes it is both treatable with medication and psychotherapy. There good medications that are non-additive that treat anxiety and have made significant difference in many people's lives. Psychotherapy can also help you will behavioral tools that help with anxiety. Best to see your doctor and discuss.

Suggest you become proactive and seek a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist, and commence counseling. Consider biofeedback therapy, EMDR, acupuncture, meditation, and aerobic exercise, as additional approaches. Medication may be of short-term value.
