Globus versus...: A ball or lump sensation in your throat past which you can easily swallow is called "globus"--a functional problem that acid blockers likely won't help. Nor would it likely address esophageal spasm, dysmotility, or eosinophilic esophagitis. Have you had manometry?Might want endoscopy for definitive biopsy +/- address peptic stricture that may constrict the swallowing tube & benefit from dilation.
