Warm water rinses: 2 cupfuls of either peroxide or scope, swish for 2 minutes and spit out. Ora-Gel for on a Q-tip for pain if not allergic to Novocaine.

Gum abrasion: Nature will heal it without any treatment necessary. Avoid acidic and spicy foods. Salt water rinses are a form of mild antiseptic and may make it feel better.

Tincture of time: Oral tissues are very forgiving. A traumatic insult such as you described should heal on its own tin 10 days to 2 weeks. Warm salt water rinses may sooth the area. If bruise is annoying, try OTC analgesics (follow package instructions for dosage). Af you do not see gradual improvement after 2-3 days, call your Dentist.
