Tincture of time: Oral tissues are very forgiving. A traumatic insult such as you described should heal on its own tin 10 days to 2 weeks. Warm salt water rinses may sooth the area. If bruise is annoying, try OTC analgesics (follow package instructions for dosage). Af you do not see gradual improvement after 2-3 days, call your Dentist.
