Visit a dentist ASAP: Bleeding gums can be a sign that you already have, gum disease. This is a serious problem, which should be checked professionally by a dentist. The good news is that this condition is curable. Call your dentist today!

Bleeding: Cause can be traumatic (brushing too hard or using hard toothbrush), infection (gum disease, especially if you do not floss every day or do not see a Dentist 2x/year), or systemic (diseases such as leukemia or diabetes). What should you do? See a General Dentist or a gum/bone specialist, a Periodontist, as soon as possible.
