What's the best toothbrush for gum disease?

Soft: You choose the one that feels and fits the best in your hand as long as it is soft. There are a lot of good companies and brands and i would pay the little more to get a little better brush. Not the cheapo Depo-Provera ones. If you get a power brush which i definitely recommend, use one that occilates/spins.

No best one: There is no best toothbrush. You need to use a soft toothbrush and brush for at least 2 minutes twice a day. Most adults don't brush long enough and this can make more of a difference than the brand name of the toothbrush. Electric toothbrushes can be very beneficial.

OTC's won't cure gum disease. You must start by having teeth/gums properly treated by Dentist or bone/gum specialist Periodontist. Practitioner will then individualize your maintenance Oral Hygiene program. Probably soft t'brush (manual or electric) to be used 2 full minutes by the clock 2x/day. Floss or WatePik more important than brush.

Probably soft.: The best is probably a soft toothbrush, because it does not damage and inflame the gums. The best person for this answer would probably be the dentist.

Soft: There are soft tooth brushes that are very good in the market place. If you google toothbrushes, you can read the reviews. Just remember soft and to use one that is easy to handle. This is a very individual choice.

Sonicare?: We recommend some type of sonicare most often, but the oral-b electric brushes do a great job too.

Electric: I think an electric toothbrush like oral-b or sonicare is what you should get.
