Two weeks ago I noticed I had pinworms and took over the counter pinworm medication and it failed to work, I went in and saw my doctor and he prescribed me albendazole and its been more than 72 hours and it still hasnt worked, any reason for why?
My doc told me to take albenza (albendazole) 2 weeks after 1st dose for pinworms. Docs on here said 1 week&its been 10 days.Should i take it now and will it go away?
Just discovered what I think are pinworms in my child's stool, she had abdominal discomfort too. She's 7 and around 26kg. Was told to give Albendazole 200mg QD for 3 days. Another doctor said 400mg single dose. Which is preferable? thanks for input?
