A member asked:

Is it normal that flaccid penis is not entirely soft? it has a hard core? only noticed this right now, don't remember how it has been in past, no symptoms and completely bendable. ps:hard core is not 100% smooth as silk + 2 veins under skin of penis.

Well...flaccid means: The penis is interesting in a number of ways. A flaccid penis is not hard in any way. There are two main veins that you can identify on either side and a spongy area as well. When engorged with blood it is erect. When not it's "limp". A persistent erection is called a priapism if greater than a few hours, generally 3-4. This can be dangerous. If semirigid your prob ok. See urology or ER
