Postop constipation: Constipation is a very common side effect after surgery. Anesthesia slows the intestinal function and pain medications do too. Miralax, stool softeners and milf of magnesia can be very helpful to relieve constipation

Pain in stomach on lower right side after a hysterectomy back starts to hurt also. Pain intensifies with gas, constipation, or fullness in bladder. I have heard other women who have had hysterectomies complain of this pain.
