Pain: Generally, slings and minimally invasive hysterectomies, such as robotic, result in very little pain post-operatively. Rectocele repairs are variable from person to person but this usually results in more pain than either of the 2 above. Usually, after a couple of weeks, this pain will resolve also but initially, rectocele repair is usually more painful than robotic hysterectomy.

It depends: It depends on the expertise of the surgeon, the rate of individual tissue healing and the lack of complications, however the bladder sling and rectocele repair involves less tissue injury.
