How do they drain an 4cm ovarian cyst? do they cut ? how long is the recovery time?

If it is: thought to be a so-called functional cyst they may wait several cycles to see if it resolves on its own. Otherwise, if it is presumptively benign, a laparoscopic removal(cystectomy) would be performed. If it is more suspicious, open surgery may be indicated. The cysts are not drained, they are removed.
