100 mg?: The margin of safety is quite high although you may end up with dry mouth and even constipation at higher doses. If Benadryl at 100 mg does not put you to sleep, it is unlikely that higher dose would do the job. Consider practicing better sleep hygiene (no bright light exposure a couple of hours prior to sleeping, avoid eating late etc). If problem persists, consult your doctor.
