Bone loss: There are techniques to restore bone and improve the health of the gums and bone that support a tooth. At some point it's often better to extract the tooth and replace it with dental implants or another type of restoration. Although your own dentist feels it's best to extract those teeth, you can get a second opinion from a Periodontist to confirm that.

Implant Consultation: Have a treatment plan prior to the extraction so there are no surprises. There are many variables, did your dentist advise you to see a periodontist? Were there long standing periodontal issues that were neglected? If the tooth or teeth can be saved, there are periodontal options, if not plan for the placement of an iimplant along with a possible bone graft etc.
