Frustrated. ate a high fat, high protein meal (bacon, eggs, salad w/olive oil) yet my blood sugar peaked at 122. what can i do? smaller meals?

122 is fine: It is entirely normal for blood sugar to rise to 122 or more after a meal; the "normal" level is up to 140. it you ate less the sugar wold probably not rise as much, but this is not necessary as your level is not of concern.

122 is good: it's not clear to me what you are frustrated about. a blood sugar of 122 after eating (or when fasting or at any time) is not a cause for concern as it is not considered abnormally high or low by any measure.
