Unlikely: Given the duration of the problem I would be thinking more of inflammatory/ long term diseases like chronic infections or other diseases like lymphoma Please check it with your doctor.

Possibly: An examination and x-rays by your Dentist would answer your question. Please, this is not complex. See your Dentist. If no oral infections are found your Dentist will then refer you to your General Physician or an ENT
