Need more info...: To count cells/bacteria/etc in a fluid under the microscope, it is common to use what can be seen under maximum magnification in one High Power Field (=HPF). 6-9 was the # seen, and it depends on the fluid, how it was collected, and what is being counted to determine if that # is normal.
