What are the differences between sirs and sepsis?

related: Sirs are the signs of an activated immune response, increased temperature, respiratory rate, elevated white count etc while sepsis is sirs plus a sign of infection like a possitive urinary tract infection.

Presence infection: SIRS, or systemic inflammatory response syndrome is a collection of signs & symptoms associated with widespread inflammation in the body ( elevated white cell count, fever, elevated heart rate, low blood pressure, and several others) SIRS can be caused by infection, but is seen after other severe insults to the body, such as trauma. If there is evidence of infection then Sepsis is diagnosed
