Elbow pain: Can have a variety of causes - may be some sort of tendinitis. Here is some general information on elbow pain but for specific advice please consult a doctor licensed in your area for examination and/or tests. http://www.mayoclinic.org/symptoms/elbow-pain/basics/causes/sym-20050874

Tendonitis likely: Most common cause is 'golfers elbow' (occurs on inside of elbow) or 'tennis elbow' (occurs on outside). You don't have to play either of these sports to develop the condition, there may have been another repetitive movement that precipitated it. Alternative causes are things like a trapped or irritated nerve in the neck giving referred pain, or other referred pain e.g. coming from the heart.
