I'm : I'm sorry to hear of your problem. I have a few questions that need to be addressed to better help you. Did you have a MRI of the cervical spine and emg? If so, what did they show? The prior doctor sounds as if he/she was describing a brachial plexopathy. While that might be the case your presentation would be odd. True neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome (tos) is more commonly seen in women when congenital. More common is a traumatic cause (i.e. Motorcycle accident, gunshot wound...). The differential diagnosis includes median nerve entrapment at the pronator teres muscle and/or carpal tunnel syndrome. Wasting is a concern and should cause you to have this addressed as some of these conditions are treatable. Good luck and well wishes.
