I sprained my ankle 5 days ago. and i've been keeping it elevated and icing it etc.. i'm feeling this stinging- burning like numbness is it normal?

Sprain: You are doing a great job in keeping your leg elevated, resting and icing. Sometimes an ace bandage or some type of ankle support might be helpful as well. Pain and stinging does accompany an injury. If you start to have bruising and you can't take many steps and you feel wobbly on your foot, you would need to follow up with your family physician to make sure something worse hasn't happened.
