Can or should ?: A 3-5 mg dose is usually well tolerated as a sleep aid by kids at this age.Be aware that the dosing needs of each kid is not well established and some may do well on 1 mg and poorly on 5 or vice versa. It does tend to produce grogginess and should never be taken prior to activities like bike riding, swimming or other sports.
