Amoxicillin: You need to go to your family physician and request a prescription for antibiotics. You also have the choice also of going to an Emergency Room or an Urgent Care Center to obtain a prescription as well. Don't let this go untreated and not evaluated. Antibiotics: Antibiotics will not cure a dental infection, only limit its intensity and spread. See another Dentist, Endodontists, or Oral Surgeon for care. Or visit your Physician or Urgent Care to provide antibiotics until your Dentist can get you in for treatment. Your swelling indicates a severe active infection. See someone now.
