Triple Therapy: Studies show there are several regimens for treatment of H. Pylori related ulcers that usually involve a proton pump inhibitor omeprazole, clarithromycin and amoxicillin (OAC)for 10 days;BIsmuth, Metronidazole and Tetracycline (BMT) for 14 days, or Lansoprazole, Amoxicillin, Clarithromycin (10 or 14 days of treatment). I was diagnosed with a peptic ulcer that had intestinal metaplasia, NO h pylori. Ive been on 3 different PPI and I sill have agonizing Epigastric pain. Will IM turn to cancer in a year? Does it actually cause pain? Rest of the endo normal?
