How do you take ppi w/ nsaid if you have peptic ulcer? Which ppi drug/dose do you recommend if someone w/ peptic ulcer must on max dose of nsaid?
Doctor thinks I have stomach ulcers. I don't smoke, drink, or take NSAIDs. Doc made no mention of H. pylori. Should I suggest blood and breath tests? If it's not H. pylori, what else could cause ulcers or is it another issue? Is excess acid possible?
Are cox 2 inhibitors completely free from side effect of gastritis/ulcer?Or they only reduce the risk? why doctors still prescribe plain nsaids like diclofenac,advil if selective cox-2 are so great? should a sensitive person take ppi along with cox 2?
My biopsies are h. Pylori negative but shows reactive chemical gastropathy. I dont take nsaids. Is this bile? And will Prilosec actually work. My upper abdomen hurts. I also have a small superficial non bleeding ulcer?
