PTH: By definition, post traumatic headaches can onset within the first 7 days after head injury, even mild head injury. Taking NSAIDS (e.g. Ibuprofen, Naproxen) in an appropriate manner (not overuse) can help. Opioid medication and anything with Butalbital will prvoke headaches. If you have any concerning symptoms or the headache does not improve, seek evaluation.
