Cough: It could be many reasons. If it is worse at night could be reactive airway disease, like asthma. Could be infection, allergic reaction, drug reaction. Less likely at your age and duration of symptoms is cancer. Sounds like you will need to get checked out by your doctor.

You need to visit your doctor who can examine your chest to see if you need antibiotics at this stage. You can also try simple home remedies such as steam inhalation or ginger and honey mixtures to soothe the throat irritation.
