Treatment: Fever can be treated with tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen. If a person has underlying asthma, heart or other lung disease, an evaluation by their doctor is important as a fever and chest cough could indicate either a virus or bacterial infection causing bronchitis, pneumonia or a flare of asthma.
