It could very well have been Covid. Most recent patients are reporting exactly these symptoms with a lingering cough. Since you are most likely not contagious any more, just monitor the cough in case it gets worse. There have been instances of post covid bronchitis or pnuemonia.

You have had upper respiratory tract infection that may be due to a number of bacteria or viruses. If you are feeling better there is no need for concern. The cough may be due to just bronchitis or there is possibility of pneumonia. It is not unusual to have cough however if you have additional symptom like chest pain or fever you should be further evaluated. Rest and fluids should help recovery.
