My grandma is 83. she can remember to do things that interest her. but she forgets to do things dat she hates to do. does this sound like dementia?

Possibly: Lets face it, as we age, we are all not going to be as sharp as we once were. But there can be other symptoms too, delusional behaviors, sleep disturbances, hallucinations, inappropriate agitation, etc. If dementia is your worry, please have her evaluated by a neurologist or geriatric psychiatrist.

It would be helpful to know where this is going. A diagnosis of possible dementia should be confirmed or ruled out by a neurologist. It is very worthwhile to deal directly instead of presumptively.
