I'm 57 with a lazy eye. i work as a coder reading inpatient charts and it seems to be getting worse. can it get worse with this job?

Yes and No: There's nothing specific about your job as a coder that will make it worse. ANY job involving lots of reading and/or computer screen work has the potential to flare the condition up. Talk with your ophthalmologist about how to exercise the eye and how to work rests into your day to give your muscles a break. We use our eyes constantly as we work, so not anything specific with your current job.

Excess reading: Excess reading without frequent blinking can cause loss of Meibomian glands and tear film instability which can cause vision issues. See Eyedoc2020.blogspot.com
