Listen to doctor: You have not had seizures because you have been on medication. Taking medication is a whole lot easier and safer than taking the chance of not taking and getting into serious trouble. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Med withdrawal?: Is your question related to coming off of medications? If you have not had seizures for "almost 1 year", does that mean you had a seizure within the past 12 months? What are your expectations regarding withdrawal of your medications (if any)? Discuss with your doctor if you want to discontinue your seizure medications; there are both benefits and risks for doing so.
