Reduce it slowly: To be safe, reducing medications should be done with a doctor's supervision. Some antidepressants are less likely than others to cause withdrawal symptoms and your doctor will know that and adjust accordingly.

Talk with doctor: Talk with your doctor about this. Some people do just fine stopping antidepressants and others have problems. If you are concerned, it is best to taper off the medication.

Depends.: It depends on a number of factors. Are you feeling better because of the medication? Have you been on it long enough that if you get off your symptoms won't come back? Is this your first or fifth episode of depression? Depending on these answers, it may be okay for you to be weaned off with the help of your doctor.
