Which antidepressant is best to take with depakote?

Depakote: Depakote is often used to stabilize mood in someone with bipolar disorder. If possible, no antidepressant at all is used, because these can precipitate mania. Some bipolar patients do need additional antidepressants, but your own doctor who knows your case is the best resource to discuss this with you. Depending on how much anxiety you also have, possibly wellbutrin (bupropion) or Celexa are choices.
