Fecal impaction.: You may have a severe type of constipation called fecal impaction. The "burden" is the amount of solid stool held up in the colon which can't pass. Consider talking with a GI specialist to get a prescription for an enema (to "soften from below"). You may also need a stool softener & laxative. A combination of approaches is needed when stool is impacted. TTYD or use Healthtap Prime for more advice.
