Viral illness: Your symptoms sound like a simple viral gastroenteritis. It is not unusual to get a viral rash with such infections. If the rash does not settle or worsens over the next 24 -48 hr or if you develop fevers/ neck pain/ vomiting, you need to see a doctor immediately for further evaluation.

Uncertain 5th diseas: Hard to say if the cheek rash seen a fifth disease but you see that usually in children. You need to see your physician or a dermatologist to clarify this rash and it's relationship to the diarrhea
