The pattern cited likely represents a gut virus that created a rash as the body's immune system trapped it. The virus- antibody complex often leaks out of capillaries near the skin surface which is cooler than the bodies core. Sometimes the rash will be unique enough to label, but often not. I doubt psoriasis has much to do with it.
