A member asked:

Being put on the spot, crowds, new places, etc all make me anxious. i also have panic attacks when it's bad. what could be wrong and what should i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Panic/anxiety: You can slow your breathing down when panic sets in by blowing into a paper bag x 20-25 breaths. That should simmer the symptoms. Overall, a visit to your child psychiatrist would evaluate the panic/anxiety and may suggest ongoing medication ( zoloft/prozac, etc) to abate the symptoms altogether. There is therapy, sometimes in groups that can help too. Welcome to health tap, Dr. Ivy Fisher
